Mr. William Bernard Streetman was born in Augusta, Georgia on January 12, 1968. He
entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at the Medical University of South
Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston. The Lord blessed us with William “Main” Streetman for
57 years.
William was raised in Keysville, Georgia by his loving parents, the late Faye Streetman
Lewis and Robert Lee Lewis. He attended Springhill Baptist Church and graduated from
Waynesboro High School (The Purple Hurricanes) with the class of 1986, where he
excelled in football. William worked for Southeast Grocers (Harvey’s) for over 35 years
where he honed his skills as a master meat cutter.
In addition to his unwavering love for his family and friends, William’s passion was
fishing. He loved sharing the joys of fishing with anyone who wanted to learn about the
sport. William was known for his kindness and patience while fishing with his family and
friends, even if they were not experienced anglers. If William wasn't watching old
Western movies, or his favorite Georgia sports teams (the Braves, the Bulldogs or the
Falcons), he was on the water where he found his inner peace.
William leaves to cherish his memory; a loving wife, Regina Gale Streetman of Augusta,
GA, a devoted brother Anthony (Charisse) Streetman of Augusta, GA, daughter
Chineser Streetman of Augusta, GA and his dedicated father for over 40 years, Robert
L. Lewis. His dear brother Rodrick Lewis preceded him in death in 2023. His father
Willie (Mattie) Fuller of Hephzibah, GA, three sisters Dekneesha Fuller (Augusta, GA),
Gail Harrison (Augusta, GA), and Kimberly (Gerard) Radford (KY) and a brother Andre’
Jermaine Bell (NJ). His brother Willie Fuller Jr., passed away in 2022. William was also
a loving father to Wesley, Chelsey and Richard Brewton. William also leaves to cherish
five grandchildren, McKenzie Streetman, McKenlie Streetman, Khari Brewton, Madelyn
Brewton, Markinzee Nolan and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and
other family members and friends. Above all, William was a family man and cherished
any time spent in the company of those who he loved.
William gave of himself to others unselfishly without a second thought. He was often
more concerned about his family and friends than he was for himself, even until the day
he departed this life.
