Sidney Bynes

Sidney Bynes passed in peace on June 19th, 2021 at the age of 82 in his home state of Georgia. He retired from Commercial Custodian Management and was a longtime resident of New Jersey. He is survived by his older sister Lucy and her husband. He was preceded in transition by his life long partner Estelle, his father Porter, his mother Beulah, and his siblings Willie, Lynwood, Johnnie, Joe, Mary and Betsy. Sidney was a proud father to Cherrine and loving step-father to Valerie, Karen and Michelle. Moreover he grandfathered Jamard, Aliah and Kara. Sidney is further survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Sidney will be fondly remembered as an avid sports fan of NY Mets, Brooklyn Nets, and the NY Jets. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, biblical studies and fixing electronics. He enjoyed long walks and sitting out in the sun admiring his flowers and plants. He was a Jersey guy with a Georgia heart.

Behind him he leaves a legacy of what an amazing man, father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend should aspire to be.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
