Lottie Mae Ruth was born on October 29, 1939 to the late Rosie L. Robertson
Bush and Elijah Bush in Burke County, GA. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ
as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the Carswell Grove Baptist Church
where she served faithfully on the Usher Board for over 40 years until her health failed.
On July 13, 2024, Lottie transitioned from her earthly home to be with our heavenly
father.
Lottie was employed at Burke Medical Center in Waynesboro, GA where she
retired after many years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with
her family, crocheting various projects, sewing, and attending the Senior Citizen Center.
Lottie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ruth; her son, Donald
Bush; siblings, Hattie Mae Bush, Minnie Lee Reddick, Mattie Mae Walker, Leatha Bush,
Carrie Ward, Pearl Mason, John Henry Bush, Robert Lee Bush, Frank Bush, Charlie
Coleman Bush, and Willie James Bush.
Lottie leaves to cherish her loving memories; her granddaughter, Dondrea
(Roderick) Roberson of Hephzibah, GA; her grandson, Dondrae Bush of Waynesboro,
GA; sister, Geneva Freeman of Fort Lauderdale, FL; great-granddaughter, Logan
Roberson; a niece she raised as her own daughter, Joyce Freeman Godbee; a special
friend, Monique Daley; Sister-in-laws, Theresa Bush of Apopka, FL; Mildred Bush, Mae
Frances Nair, Jenny Lee Abrams, Rosa Mae Abrams, and Lillie Mae Abrams all of
Waynesboro, GA; Brother-in-laws, Walter Abrams, Jr., Ernest Abrams, Moses Abrams,
Issac Abrams, and Thomas Abrams all of Waynesboro, GA; and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends.
