John Henry DeVoe

Mr. John Henry DeVoe of Waynesboro, GA. entered into eternal rest on Saturday August 1, 2020. Graveside Service for Mr. DeVoe will be held on Saturday August 8, 2020 11:00 a.m. at McKinney Branch Baptist Church 2919 River Rd. Waynesboro, GA. 30830. John Henry Devoe was born to Maggie Mae Devoe and the late Walker Devoe, Sr. on March 29, 1957 in Burke County, Georgia. He was educated in the Burke County School System. At an early age, he was baptized and attended McKinney Branch Baptist Church.He was employed with the Miller’s Mill Company and also the Wimberly Logging Company. For a number of years, he was employed at Georgia Power. He had a passion for fishing, cooking on the grill, and spending time with family and friends. We will miss the pleasant smile and gentle spirit of John Henry, who departed this life on
August 1, 2020.John Henry was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, and uncle. He was precededin death by two siblings, Walter K. and Dorothy Devoe.He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Patrice L. Farmer of Hephzibah, Georgia and Quiovetta Devoe of Augusta, Georgia; his mother, Maggie Mae Devoe of Waynesboro, Georgia; three sisters, Madella Hunt, Annette (Leroy) Walker, and Sharon Weaver all of Augusta, Georgia; four brothers, Walker Devoe, Jr., Andrew Devoe, Jerry (Mae) Devoe all of Waynesboro, Georgia and Larry Devoe of Augusta, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
