Gregory D. Evans

Mr. Gregory Deondary Evans, 59, entered into eternal
rest on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at PruittHealth-Old
Capitol, Louisville, GA.
Gregory was born on February 15, 1966 to the late
Thomas Evans and Willie Pearl Evans. He was
preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Marion
(Neal) Evans and Jeremy Walker.
Gregory was a native of Burke County and attended the
public schools of Burke County, graduating in the class
of 1984 from Sardis Girard Alexander (SGA) High
School in Sardis, GA.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Tyrek
Deaundra Lewis; daughter, Alona Monique Lewis;
Sisters: Maxine Washington, Nedra (Alonzo) Streeter,
Valessa Evans, Tonya Crawford, Sylvia Evans and
Laverne Nelson; Step Mother, Clara Bell Evans; Aunts
and Uncles: Evelyn Lynch, Annie Pearl Gibson, Elease
Howard, Katie (Isiah) Bennifield, Ludie (Robert) Huff,
Mary (Douglas) Williams, Peggy White, George (Anna)
Evans, Shirley (Calvin) Padgett, Isadore Evans, Dianne
(Darnell) Carswell, Sharon (Ronnie) Bell, and Sharlotte
Evans; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other
relatives and friends.
