Doris Walker was born on March 8, 1962, to the late James and Rosie Lee Perkins of Sardis, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Walker; two brothers, Charles Perkins and Christopher Lovett; two sisters, Elizabeth Walker and Doris Lovett; and one grandson, Frank Walker III. At an early age, Doris accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Sardis, GA, and attended service whenever the doors of the church were open until her health started to prevent her. Her interests included spending time with family and friends. She was a joy to be around and had a welcoming spirit to all that encountered her. She was a mother to some, a sister to many, a dear friend to most, and a relative who would be there for those in need despite her own adversities. She will be truly missed, but always remember for her acts of kindness and unselfishness. Doris leaves her legacy to her surviving children: Roshunda Walker of Girard, GA, and Frank (Shondelina) Walker and Chelrie (Dereck) Hilton, both of Sardis, GA; eleven grandchildren, Wen ‘Dasiah, Marionna, Hayven, Deri ‘Nya, De ‘Mya, Destine, Carlos, Jawuandre, Derick, Dedrick, and Joe, all of Sardis, GA; seven sisters, Frankie M. Robinson of Lithonia, GA, Perkenia Perkins of Augusta, GA, Louise Lovett of Twin City, GA, Linda Prescott of Girard, GA, Marie (Johnson) Moore of Waynesboro, GA, and Gloria (Franklin) Bonner and Karen Perkins of Sardis, GA; seven brothers, Alvin, Calvin, Ronnie, and Karoy Perkins, all of Sardis, GA, James Perkins and Jack Lovett of Augusta, GA, and James Lovett of Orlando, FL; special friends and caretakers, Vernita Baker and Willie C. Gordon; twelve sisters-in-law; eight brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and DORIS LUCILLE WALKER friends who will truly miss her presence. PR
