Mr. Christopher Jones was born on July 4, 1972, to the late Deacon Tommy Lee and Frankie Mae Jones. He entered into eternal rest on May 3, 2024. At an early age, Chris accepted Christ as his Lord and Personal Savior. He became a member of Jones Grove Baptist Church. Chris was a 1990 graduate of the Burke County Comprehensive High School in Waynesboro, Georgia. Shortly after graduating, he enlisted into the United States Army for ten plus years. During his military career, he fought alongside many other soldiers to defend our country during the Gulf War. He was a proud Veteran. Chris was a Trucker for twelve years and for the last part of his life, he became a Race Car Legend. His first track name was #CandyCrusher. Chris didn’t stop there. His winning car and final car was #RandyMoss with his driver, Telly Coffer. He loved racing cars and he also loved and cherished his family and friends. On October 10, 2020, he married the love of his life, Mrs. Taquilla Brigham Jones. There was not a day that went by that they didn’t remind each other of how much they truly loved one another. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Larhonda S. Jones and Alicia D. Gadson. Chris leaves to cherish his memory: loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Taquilla Jones of Wayesboro, GA; six daughters, Raven (Nolan) Jones, Ty’Asia Griffin, Jaden Griffin, N’Kia Jones, Deanna Jones, and La-Chyna Jones; eight sons, Quan’Travis Brigham, Fernando Griffin, Jr., Kaden Griffin, Dontrell Jones, Andre James, Jequevian Thomas, Cameron Jones, and Jaden Jones; father and mother-in-law, John (Teresa) Brigham, Sr. of Girard, GA; two brothers in-law, John Brigham, Jr. of Augusta, GA, and Randall (Greata) Brigham of Girard, GA; four nieces, Amoura Brigham, Johonna Brigham, A’Laysia Kelly, and Tiereny Brigham; one nephew, Anthony Gadson, Jr.; devoted cousin, Angela (Roosevelt) Carlye; three brothers, Randy (Nickole) Lynch, Michael (Natasha) Freeman, and Laquintus (Marquita) Soloman; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends
