Mr. Bernard Brooks Sr. of Waynesboro, GA. passed on Saturday March 14, 2020. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 21, 2020 1:00 p.m. at Palmer Grove Missionary Baptist Church 3261 Old Waynesboro Rd. Hephzibah, GA. with Rev. Jerry Smith. Interment Pines Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday March 20, 2020 12:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. Family will assemble at the funeral home for the line up at 12:00 p.m. day of service. Chavous B. Bernard was the second oldest of five children. On Saturday March 14, 2020,Bernard departed this life to eternal rest.At an early age, he joined Thankful Baptist Church in Blythe, GA. Bernard was educated in the Richmond County School System and later earned a degree as an Electric Motor Electrician. As an electrician, he worked at Augusta Electric Motors and Waco Electric Motors for over 40 years. He was known as a fun and kind man. His sharp and tty sense of humor brought laughter to any room.Bernard enjoyed fishing with family and friends and also listening to music. All will miss him.Bernard leaves to cherish his memories his children,Bernard (Efia) Brooks Jr. of Fort Belvoir, VA, Jermaine Brooks of Charlotte, NC, Eric Brooks of Augusta, GA,Vernon Brooks of Louisville, GA and James Beasley of Wren, GA, and a spouse Georgia Smith-Brooks Keysville, GA.  Four siblings Ina Brooks of Belle Glade,FL, Jackie Brooks of New Castle, DE, Varna Brooks of Dover, DE, and James Brooks Seaford, DE, and a hos of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
